I am happy to say I've made quite a few XL items for people at no extra cost.

First example is this Ouroboros bangle.
My client placed an order through my website for an XL. I got in touch to confirm his wrist measurement. He could've worn a large, just about! However, not only do I want to create quality work that stands the test of time; I want it to fit securely. For his 20cm wrist circumference, it just needed an extra cm to stay firmly in place.
What resulted was a seamlessly enlarged bangle, shaped to perfectly fit my client's wrist.
Take a look at the process of adding a section of scales to the bangle below >>>
Now, Z size Rings:
An order came through for an Ouroboros ring, as well as a Flower of Life band; both Z size 6. These, despite the difficulty of working with full circumference patterns, are always super fun to make. It is tricky to get exact sizing, but after making these rings for 10 years now, I don't believe there's any size I've not managed.
The trick to being able to size patterned rings successfully is making sure each section is identical to the next. Measure out perfectly in the wax and when you come to sizing in metal, sections will slip into place and line up easily.
Still, it is not for the faint hearted! But I love the puzzle aspect of jewellery, always have.
I have made a short video of me sizing this exact order below. I hope you enjoy seeing the process as much as I enjoy making them.
Thanks for looking and get in touch for a custom design and/or fit.
Isabel
