Goddess Hoops

Commissioned by Jane for her Daughter's 40th Birthday. This was a challenge!

The request was to make 7cm diameter hoops with a custom design; featuring a female Goddess and the lotus flower. I was concerned they would be too heavy to wear at this scale. However I decided to see just how thin and light I could make them. This would take delicate hands and nerves of steel! (or silver haha).

After letting Jane know about the weight, we decided to make a matching pendant from the Goddess design as well; something that could be worn everyday.

Here's how it went....

After finalising Jane's favourite design, I got to carving it in wax.

The pieces were then cast in silver and assembled.
