Made to commemorate a much loved family pet. Referencing a photograph, I painted Henny first in acrylic. This gave me a base of light and shadow to then paint over with oils, creating rich colours and fine furry details.
I really enjoyed matching the likeness, painting the lace boarder, and most of all; the owner's reaction when the painting was revealed.
