The Robus Ring

Introducing the largest iteration of the Ouroboros collection; The Robus Ring.

Boasting a 12mm wide band, for those who love bold, yet comfortable jewellery.

Requested by a frequent client who wanted this design to be available to all.

We will circle back round to Craig's Gold version in the following blog post.

Firstly; let me show you how I made the Robus wax. This ring was carved from scratch:

After a few ideas were discussed, a straight up larger version of the Ouroboros was chosen.

I thought great! It's been almost 10yrs since making the original wax, I was curious to see how it would go. It didn't take as long and the scales look more refined! Very satisfying.

Once cast in silver, I cleaned it up and gave it a good polish. It's then ready to be photographed and added to my website. Check it out HERE

Now it's all well and good making a full circumference pattern ring in one size.

The real test comes when someone orders it in a different size. Luckily, I didn't have to wait long to find out. My advice to you is to be very thorough when measuring out in wax.

Each section has to line up evenly in order to resize the ring successfully.
